Florida woman develops portable flavors for bottled water

Victoria Malmer just wanted something delicious and healthy to drink.
"Buying flavored water, I'd grown tired of the same few flavors," she said. "In restaurants, I always ordered water with lemon, but I wanted something different."
So the South Florida woman experimented at home with her friend and business partner, Paul Staunton, and eventually created a line of 16 flavors for bottled or tap water. They found a major manufacturer to produce it, and after months of testing, Flavors2Go were born.
Flavors2Go are natural, unsweetened flavors in portable, 1-ounce dropper bottles. They have no calories, artificial colors or flavors.
The fruit choices are apple, apricot, blackberry, cherry, grape, pink grapefruit, lemon, lime, mango, passionfruit, peach, pineapple, raspberry, strawberry, tangerine and watermelon
"For a change, I like to mix flavors, for instance, watermelon-blackberry, or strawberry-pear," Malmer said. "My friends love them. The flavors are very versatile: They can be sweetened with sugar or a diet sweetener, but they're great unsweetened. They even add zip to tea or soda."
Their customers report that they take the bottles to work, the gym, and restaurants. Some even use Flavors2Go to add fruit flavor to salad dressings, gelatin desserts and marinades. Malmer says she has plans to add new flavors to the line soon.
